Just because we fail, this does not make us a failure. We are in a spiritual war, and the battlefield is in our minds. The devil knows that if he can get us to focus on failing, falling, fear, poverty, disease, and our negative circumstances, we will become defeated and depressed. For example, if we do not spend enough time with God some day, the enemy will tell us that we are a failure and that God cannot use us. Nothing is further from the truth.

Instead of listening to the enemy’s lies, we need to immediately pray, “Lord, I believe what your Word says about me. I repent of ‘missing the mark’ today, and by your grace, I purpose in my heart to be obedient to you. I know I am loved by my heavenly father.”

There is a toy that you can find in some department stores. It’s a big, tall toy on a heavy base. When you push it over, it always pops back up. That’s the way God wants us to be when we fail. We declare with confidence, “I will not listen to the lies of the devil. If I fall, I will get up in Jesus’ name, and move on with my God.”

The Lord has great plans for your life. He says in Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This certainly does not sound like He sees you as a failure, does it?

So remember, if you fail or fall, you are not a failure! Get back up in Jesus name and declare who you really are; a son or daughter of the living God!
