One of the tricks of the enemy is to try to tempt us to live in the past. If that doesn’t work, the enemy will tempt us to be overly concerned about our future. God wants us to live to the fullest in the present and allow Him to reign in the midst of our problems. Matthew 6:33-34 tells us, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Every problem that you and I have is an opportunity for a miracle. As you read through the Bible, you’ll find that every miracle was preceded by a problem. The Red Sea parted because the children of Israel had a problem—they had to flee the pursuing Egyptians. Jesus fed the five thousand because there was a problem—the people were hungry. The blind man was healed because he had a problem—he could not see. God desires to use you today as an instrument of His miraculous power.

Let’s not miss today’s opportunity to experience a miracle because we are focusing too much on the past or on the future. Open your eyes and see beyond the obvious…expect a miracle.
