Recently the Lord reminded me that the language of the kingdom of God is praise. The language of the kingdom of darkness is complaining. Praise builds faith. Complaining is based in unbelief. There is always something to thank and praise God for. When we enter his presence daily with praise, he enters our lives with power. God tells us to “offer a sacrifice of praise to God continually”… as we live a lifestyle of praise (Heb. 13:15).

When we complain we are really saying, “If I were God, I would not allow this to happen.” This opens the door for doubt and unbelief. Praise places our confidence in the Lord. When Jesus fed the 5000 and raised Lazarus from the dead, he first acknowledged and gave praise to His heavenly father. We are called to do the same. Let’s speak the language of the kingdom of God today, and expect the Lord to enter our lives with power.
