I can still remember hearing the muffled voices of a group of girls having a party upstairs. Among the muted sounds of the girls laughing and talking, I kept hearing a reoccurring, distinct voice that captured my attention. “Do you know whose voice that is?” I inquired of a friend. He knew the girl’s voice because it was a friend of his—LaVerne. It was the first time I had heard her voice, and I was intrigued. In fact, I was so intrigued that I married her seven years later, and now I know her loving voice anywhere.
Jesus told His disciples one day that sheep follow the shepherd, “because they know his voice” (John 10:4). How did they know his voice? Because they had learned from experience to trust the voice of their shepherd.
To hear God’s voice clearly, we must have a growing love relationship with God and trust Him. It’s that simple. The better we get to know God, the better we will recognize His voice.
Hi, Lardy. I can relate so much to this as when I first found this blog I thought what is this. Now I have trust in you and God! Another person I trust is George Lucas as not only does he make great prequels but he also loves this blog as much as I do!
I hear God’s voice so often it surprises me. He always speaks to me and tells me what to do next, helping me live a good, pure life.
He is my shepard, no doubt about it

but larry helped me for free cause he preaches Christianity.
Indeed God’s voice can be heard if we listen closely, but to recognise it we must trust in him, as you rightly pointed out.
I love to story of how you met LaVerne, it goes to show that some people are meant to be together.
Oh Larry, GET THIS. It wasn’t love at first sight, it was love at first listen lol xD
With kind regards, your fan George
A wonderful insight into how the Lord’s word can still be applied to the world today.
Fantastically written once again, Larry my man!
According to all known laws
of aviation, there is no way a bee
should be able to fly.Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground.
The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don’t care what humans think is impossible.
I thnk this is a beautiful anology for the things we can do when we trust in god!!!
I can’t wait until everyone sees the light and hears his voice, then the world will be perfect as God wants.
