Someone once said, “Doing the most important thing is always the most important thing.” I have found that those who are successful in life work from a clear sense of priority. Paul the apostle said it like this, “This one thing I do…” (Phil. 3:13).
To achieve extraordinary results, we must choose what matters most and give it all the time it demands. This may require us to get out of balance in relation to other areas of life for a season. When I was a young man, a wise pastor exhorted me to not be afraid of getting off balance. He told me that every time I take a step, I am off balance. But without taking a step, I will go nowhere.
Is there one thing God is calling you to focus on today? A wise man once said, “Extraordinary results are directly determined by how narrow you can make your focus.” Success is built sequentially. It’s one thing at a time. What does the Lord desire for you to focus on today?
This is wonderful and I needed to read this today. I’m always second guessing myself because I’m afraid of the imbalance that it can cause, moving in a direction of priority.

“Doing the most important thing is always the most important thing”
A true phrase of wisdom.
Today I will try to do the most important thing and study my favourite book ‘On the Origin of Species’ by Charles Darwin. I have read it several times, but I recently read both the Bible and the Shrek books so it is time to learn about evolution once again.
Good luck Larry, love the blog
I will work and look at things in a narrow perspective way in order to be a successful leader.
