As I look back on my life, I can now see that I experienced many different seasons. I just didn’t realize it when it was happening. I had a season of growing up, parenting a family with LaVerne, business, local church leadership, mentoring church leaders globally, being a grandparent…the list goes on and on. But if I could do it all over again, I think I would have embraced each season more fully.

The Scriptures teach us, “As long as the earth endures, seedtime (spring) and harvest (fall), cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease (Genesis 8:22).” There will always be seasons in our lives. During some seasons we may feel bright like the day, and in others we may feel dark like the night. Africa and much of the world have only two seasons, a dry season and a rainy season. Although North America and Europe have four seasons, spring and fall are transitional seasons, preparing us for the season of either summer or winter.

What season of life are you in today? The Winter Season – a difficult or cold season? The Spring Season – you can see light at the end of the tunnel…things are changing for the better? The summer season – a time of blessing and prosperity, or the fall season – where things begin to get a bit difficult? Just remember, our God is with us in our present season, and He desires to live his life through us today! Seasons in life may change, but our God never changes!
