Almost every week I meet someone who is experiencing the pain of an unfulfilled dream. I’ve discovered that unfulfilled dreams become a part of the Lord’s strategy to get us to where we can know Him more intimately and become the most fruitful. Jesus said: “…unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain” (John 12:24). Sometimes our present understanding of our dreams needs to die so the Lord can fulfill them in His way and in His time. The disciples thought it was all over when Jesus went to the cross, but it was only the beginning! Like the disciples, we find that God often fulfills our unfulfilled dreams in amazing ways that are above what we can dream or imagine.
