Grumblers have a hard time hearing God speak. The Bible says, “Do everything without complaining” (Phil. 2:14). It’s our natural tendency to complain; we all do it at one time or another. But it is unnatural or even supernatural to give thanks in the midst of life’s trials. Being thankful gets our eyes off of our problems and onto the Lord who is still in charge. Being thankful is self-correcting, like a clock that resets itself to the right time every 24 hours. Let’s make a decision to be thankful every day. There is always something to be thankful for! Unthankful people quickly enter into deception and find it very hard to hear the clear, pure word of the Lord. When you offer thanks to Him, He will respond to you. He is eager to speak to you.
Being thankful is supernatural
