Almost everyone can name one or more books that have changed their lives. I am no exception. I grew up in an Anabaptist church. But I learned how to lead people to Christ from a book written by a Baptist. I learned about the work of the Holy Spirit from a book written by an Assembly of God preacher. I learned about healthy family life from a book written by a Lutheran pastor. And I learned about discipleship from the writings of the Navigators. Books are a powerful means to change our worldview and wake us up to new spiritual dimensions. We need the whole Body of Christ to grow spiritually. It has often been said, “You will be the same person in five years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.” So true.
The people you meet and the books you read.
