If we only listen to those who teach the Bible from our own camp or denomination or local church, we may not receive the whole counsel of God. Pastors who frown on those within their local churches receiving Bible teaching from the Body of Christ at large are hindering them from receiving all the Lord has for them. No single church or denomination has all of the truth. We are all continually learning as we grow as believers in Christ. We need one another. Of course, all teaching must line up with the Scriptures. So let’s become like the Bereans in the book of Acts: “Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true” (Acts 17:11).
