One of life’s temptations is to live in the past. If that doesn’t work, the enemy will tempt us to be overly concerned about our future. God wants us to live to the fullest in the present. Matthew 6:34 tells us, “Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Every problem that you and I have is an opportunity for a miracle. As we read through the Bible, we find every miracle was preceded by a problem. The Red Sea parted because the children of Israel had a problem—they had to flee the pursuing Egyptians. Jesus fed the five thousand because there was a problem—the people were hungry. The blind man was healed because he had a problem—he could not see. Let’s not miss today’s opportunity to experience a miracle because we are focusing too much on the past or on the future. God gives us grace for today.
